Thanksgiving and Finals Week

For Thanksgiving we got to go up and visit my family in North Dakota, in a little tiny town called Ross. When I say little tiny I mean it has a post office and a bar. As the big snow storm was rolling through the western United States, a few days before thanksgiving, we decided that we should head out Tuesday night so that we'd make it. We left around 5 or 6pm for our 10 hour journey. We were originally planning to head out Wednesday morning, but just loaded up the car as soon as my sister made it to Laramie. Needless to say we hit bad roads as soon as we left Wyoming a few hours later. Our 10 hour drive turned into a 14 hour drive on some pretty scary roads. We finally made it around 8 or 9am. Thankfully we made it in one piece without incident. Daniel drove the whole way and was amazing!
Thanksgiving was fun. We had the whole family together except one brother and his wife. (Matt and Jessie) We took my mom black Friday shopping, went and saw the movie Tangled (love it!), and of course ate lots of yummy food. We set up the Christmas tree and played games. It was a fun packed break from school.
It's the end of the week before finals and it's been pretty hectic. Whoever coined the term "dead week"....was CRAZY! Unless of course, they called it that because the students become dead from all of the end of semester assignments.
With the semester coming to a close it means that Daniel and I are creeping up on our one year anniversary :) Very exciting! And....what's even more exciting is that we get to be sealed on the 18th!! All our family will be able to be there with us on this important day. In case you're wondering, this is the exciting news that i mentioned in my last blog :)
Daniel and I are doing well and looking forward to the end of the semester. We'll both be working over the break and getting ready for the spring semester.
